Program Overview

Through our engaging online platform, Two Degrees, we connect future STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) professionals with STEM professionals of today. The interactive Two Degrees website gives teens the opportunity to build connections with STEM professionals, also called “Bridge Coaches”, within the program.

When teens are accepted as members of Two Degrees, they will be able to:
  1. Use our profiler to match their interest to an array of STEM professions
  2. Research STEM professions
  3. Connect to a diverse group of Bridge Coaches based on mutual interest, to learn about their careers and get advice on making their STEM dreams a reality.
  4. Learn to network and begin building their own professional network
It’s not just what you know, but who you know and who knows you! Two Degrees reduces the degrees of separation between teens who are interested in STEM and the professional network that can help propel them into the future.
Program activities also include:
  1. Semi-monthly skill and exploration workshops to improve professional skills and to learn about different STEM careers
  2. Field trips to visit and experience Bridge Coaches’ employment sites
  3. Participation in the STEM Badge Program – a chance to participate in STEM activities and earn special rewards
  4. Networking luncheon planned by the students at the end of the program for all Two Degrees participants and sponsors to celebrate what they have learned
