Help Bridge the STEM Gap

Our Bridge Coaches are STEM professionals dedicated to sharing their knowledge, experience, and networks with teens. Bridge Coaches are key individuals in helping to connect teens to the resources they need to pursue a STEM career.

Bridge Coaches Are Not Traditional Mentors

Our online platform allows Bridge Coaches to control their time commitment as they participate in Two Degrees. Bridge Coaches commit to participating in Two Degrees for at least one year through their choice of 2 of the 4 following engagement opportunities:

Message Center

The online message center allows Two Degrees members to send each other one-on-one messages. Bridge Coaches share about their career path, help students explore their interests, and connect them with STEM resources.

STEM Hub Opportunity Center

The STEM Hub provides students with the opportunity to search for new STEM learning opportunities such as internships, career shadows, events, trainings, etc. Bridge Coaches help build our opportunity bank by adding STEM learning or work opportunities applicable for teens.

STEM Exploration

STEM Explorations create real-world learning experiences for students. Bridge Coaches are invited to present a hands-on lesson that helps students learn about their career or offer a tour of their workplace.

STEM Networking Events

Two Degrees STEM Networking Events allow current and alumni students to continue practicing professional skills and expand their STEM networks. Bridge Coaches presence at STEM networking events allow for new in-person connections to take place and for online connections to become strengthened.
